The transmission belt is surrounded between the crankshaft pulley and the water pump pulley, the water pump shaft will follow the rotation of the crankshaft, and the water pump shaft will drive the impeller to rotate, so as to realize the conversion of mechanical energy into hydraulic energy.

Impeller is the core of the work of water pump. The movement of impeller itself is very simple, just rotating with the shaft. However, due to the role of the blade, the movement of the liquid in the impeller is very complex; on the one hand, it is involved with the rotation of the impeller, on the other hand, it is constantly thrown out of the rotating impeller under the driving of the blade, that is, the movement relative to the impeller. Therefore, the outer diameter of the impeller, the height and angle of the impeller blade, and the clearance between the impeller and the pump housing directly affect the performance of the pump.
